Time

Hey Nik,

Do you keep track of the passing time by checking the expiration dates of you milk? Or am I alone in that quirk? I remember when we bought milk that would expire after Baby Girl arrived. It was so weird to think that milk could see a new baby at our house. {An aside: we drink milk way too frequently for any milk to get close to the date stamped on the jug around this house.} Anyway, the point of this is that our current jug of milk won't expire until July.       JULY!     That blows my mind. Logically, I know we're at the end of June, but I'm not ready for it to be July soon.

Earlier this week a friend and I were shopping at Hobby Lobby together. I couldn't believe they had their autumn decorations out (think mums and monogrammed pumpkins). I expressed my dismay and my friend told me I should check out the aisles of Christmas decorations! Remember how it's not even July yet? Ridiculous. I'm all for stores putting out Christmas before Thanksgiving, and maybe even Halloween. But the Fourth of July? I'll bet they had some out even before Father's Day. They should just have a few aisles dedicated to Christmas year round at this rate.

What are you guys doing for the Fourth of July? Will you be playing games at the park and watching the stadium fireworks from there? We got invited to a "Driveway of Fire." I guess some people really love the Stadium of Fire in Provo, so they're doing their best to recreate it here. I hope they play some Brad Paisley and David Archuleta. Remember that one time we were about 20 minutes too late to watch David Archuleta perform? Bummer.

How's your summer fun to-do list coming along? You better hurry; I hear Christmas is coming!

  1. Haha! We actually took a picture of our milk jug a few weeks ago because it said our anniversary date on it.
